DC[a] is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language romantic action film[1] directed by Arun Matheswaran and produced by Kalanithi Maran's Sun Pictures. The film stars Lokesh Kanagaraj, Wamiqa Gabbi and Sanjana Krishnamoorthy. It marks Lokesh's debut as a lead actor, and is loosely adapted from the novel Devdas (1917). The film was officially announced in November 2025. Principal photography commenced a month before the official announcement in Chennai and wrapped in April 2026. The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography handled by Mukesh G and editing by Prasanna GK. DC is scheduled to be released worldwide on 7 August 2026 in theatres.
